Moving towards Connected and Autonomous Mobility. Challenges for Automotive and ICT
The digitalisation of mobility is transforming the way we think about, manage and regulate transport, boosting traffic safety, sustainability and efficiency. Its main challenges are electrification and the implementation of sensorisation, connectivity and intelligence technologies in both vehicles and road infrastructure, requiring an innovative ecosystem that integrates various sectors. The creation of smart, connected and autonomous vehicles will require complex and exhaustive tests for which there are no suitable test environments. Spain can become a European benchmark in this type of testing with several initiatives already underway.
