BNEW Sustainability

There is currently a growing concern for environmental sustainability: the impact of human activity on the environment in the present terms is unsustainable. In fact, talk has shifted from climate change to climate emergency. In this context, energy is at the center of the debate as a key element. The energy transition, then, becomes an essential vector for addressing the climate emergency. Talking about energy forces us to discuss mobility models, distribution models, consumption models and also production and industry models. From the local sphere, there are several experiences that are heading in this direction, trying to accompany industrial companies in their respective territories throughout this process. Although there is still a long way to go, in the province of Barcelona we have some reference projects that will be discussed in this session.
